This long-time television franchise is also produced in the studios at Rockefeller Center.

Radio City Music Hall Tour:
Love the Rockettes? Then you can’t miss this Tour! You’ll see behind the curtain and learn what a day is like for a member of this popular dance troupe. Add-on experiences will allow you to meet a Rockette or, for young visitors, go through a mock audition.

If you are planning to take one of the numerous tours of Rockefeller Center it is advised to purchase your tickets in advance of your arrival to New York within the first day of your visit as the tours till up fast.  Also, if you plan to queue up for the lines to attend the free tapings of the television shows that are produced at Rockefeller Center – come early!  As you can imagine the lines are long.

Saturday Night Live TV Show Tapings:
Shows such as Saturday Night Live are taped at Rockefeller Center and visitors can be part of the live studio audiences. Getting tickets for Saturday Night Live isn’t easy, and many visitors find the best bet is to show up the morning of taping to see if there are tickets that were not claimed. 

The Rockefeller Ice Skating Rink:
This very popular winter attraction first opened on Christmas Day in 1936.  The rink has served as backdrop for iconic movies like ‘Home Alone 2’ and ‘Elf’ to name only two. More than 150,000 visitors take to the ice-skating rink every winter season.

Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center:
The lighting of the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center has been a national winter time tradition each year since 1933 for New Yorkers and visitors alike.  The Christmas Tree can range in height from 60 to 100 feet tall and is usually a Norway Spruce variety.

The Christmas Tree is lit in late November (dates vary from year to year) and remain lit until January 7th.  You can see the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center in the Rockefeller Plaza between West 48th and 51st Streets and Fifth and Sixth Avenues.
